A Jane Austen Inspired Tea Party | Birthday Blog

Last month, Danielle belatedly celebrated her 19th birthday with a few of her closest friends by hosting a Jane Austen inspired tea party. Now, there’s a woman at my church named Amy, and she is a baking wizard. This is no exaggeration. As much as she wants to give Danielle 100% of the credit for the party (Danielle did help, and did a wonderful job!), Amy worked a lot of magic to make it as beautiful as it was. The little details were beautiful! Danielle had a blast learning to make all of the desserts and learned that she is really good at making icing roses under Amy’s tutelage! While parties aren’t a typical service of Amelia’s Desserts, there are always lots of cute snacks and desserts and you can check out her website here – you won’t regret it!

All of this incredible artwork was made by Jess of Castle On A Hill. Isn’t it absolutely lovely?

After their tea sandwiches and dessert, the girls were surprised with a visit down to the bakeshop to decorate their own cookies! Danielle was surprised with an elegant, mini birthday cake.

It was such a beautiful party and every little detail was absolutely perfect and totally ‘Danielle’. I had a great time photographing and was a little sad to have to leave before the girls finished their cookies, because they all looked amazing! Danielle needs to go ahead and start planning for next year, because I don’t know that she can top this!
