In July of this year, a weekly challenge began on HitRECord called The Crate Challenge. Essentially, a group of resources from the site were chosen for graphic designers to take and remix into a new piece. There were occasional rules requiring us to use a particular texture piece or color scheme, but all of the themes were completely open to interpretation. I pulled my favorite pieces from the past 5 months (oldest to newest) and was reminded of how much I’ve learned in such a short period of time. Photography is going to come back strong in 2017, but I’ve had such a blast exploring graphic design and writing this year!
